We are headed to convention.
The American Football Coaches Association has an annual convention in which coaches across the United States convene for meetings & sessions, the telling of stories of seasons gone by, and buy each other beer. You have never seen or felt so much testosterone in the air.
Ladies… we are outnumbered. Therefore, we congregate {or hideout} in our own little space where we can visit with each other and drink a lot of coffee.
Last year, I flew to convention in San Antonio and met Coach {and our staff} there. With Ellie at my parents house, I had a few days of enjoying meals without taking anyone to the bathroom and a purse free from crayons & snacks. There were nights outs & dinner with wine.
Oh, what a difference a year makes…
Y’all, we are rollin’ into Nashville Griswold Style…
We’re packing up the Volkswagen & bringing the kiddo AND the dog. Since tent camping wasn’t an option, we’ll be staying at the always delightful Days Inn, where Ellie will consume her weight in waffles & orange juice at the free continental breakfast. And with her pregnant mother’s help in the appetite department, the hotel stands to lose money each morning.

My fiance will be there. I’ve never been to the convention and was really hoping to be able to go to Nashville this yet, but it didn’t work out. Hopefully next year I can make the trip!
