Football Movies {Vote for your Favorite!}

by Sara on August 3, 2011

Hollywood has been pumping out football movies since 1925.  Some are believable, while others have us still wondering how Coach Nickerson got the Cal-Poly job after coaching a 25 man team from a rusty Pennsylvania steel town.

{Wordless Wednesday} The Creative Team

Watch out for these two… They may force you out of your comfort zone and encourage you to PLAY. And beware:  they will steal your chocolate.

A Coach’s Kid {Our Life @ The Stadium}

by Sara on August 2, 2011

I often wonder what Ellie will think about her childhood growing up around a football field.  For now, there’s nothing more exciting than seeing her Daddy at the stadium, waving to all the players, visiting our head trainer whom she has adopted as “auntie”, endless chocolate milks, and potties that flush themselves in the Union. On Sunday, we saw two college sweethearts get married. What made this day extra special for us is that we had an excuse to get a babysitter the groom was our star quarterback for many seasons just a few short years ago.  The church was beautiful, the bride dazzling, the music lovely and as I [...]

Monday Morning Quarterback

by Sara on September 14, 2009

Everyone’s a critic & when your team loses, those critics become Monday Morning Quarterbacks.  We should have passed more.  We should have done this, done that, & surely we would have won.  My husband works 85 hours a week.  He sacrifices time with his family and works his tail off to win games, to keep [...]

Two-a-Days

by Sara on August 17, 2009

Two-a-Days I am not athletic.   I don’t like to sweat & I’m not a fan of humidity.  I enjoy watching others be athletic while sipping on diet coke.  Coach loves exerting himself on a hot & humid day — lucky for him because today is the start of “Two-a-Days”.  Practice #6 this morning & practice [...]
