Hello,
Wanted to make sure you got my email. I am on opensky and a long time ago you asked me about my oilcloth lunch bags. You also asked me if I thought about making a cushion for sporting events out of oilcloth. I made a sample and I cant wait to try it tomorrow at football game. My daughter is a cheer leader. If you still want a lunch bag to review let me know.

Thanks so much.

Really love your blog. It’s so needed. And I say that sincerely. My name is John Garner. I’m a fb coach. In the off-season I work a for company called CSI Football. We do fb camps and cheer clinics and other classes, and here we recently we started developing a blog for youth football coaches. The blog deals with all aspects of coaching youth football and I was wondering if, from time to time, we could reprint some of your articles. We’d, of course, get your permission each time. And we’d also like to include your blog among our list of favorite fb sites. If you agree — please agree! — we’d like to start with your piece on “Being A Coach’s Wife.”

Respectfully,

John Garner

A poem I wrote in honor of season #10 in our marriage. Hope it helps to encourage other wives!

I’m married to a coach – A challenging life for sure
When he finally makes it home – His phone continues to purr
I have to cut the grass – Make all the household repairs
Listen to my husband vent – Stay on my knees in prayer
But let me tell you what happens – When that national anthem’s revealed
A pride that fills my heart – Watching those boys run on the field
Knowing what others don’t – The hours spent shaping lives
The talks, the support, the food – That’s where I get my drive
Cause no matter what score – Or the time spent home alone
I’m married to a coach – The most rewarding life I’ve known
