My sweet Ellie girl has been potty trained for years, but after a recent growth spurt and a tendency to sleep deeply… well, we’ve been having some issues with bedwetting.  My heart breaks for her because she is so fiercely independent, but after many days in a row of changing bed sheets, we decided to reintroduce Pull-Ups to our bedtime routine.

Every once in awhile we test fate and wear big girl panties to bed.  {After all, there was a time when she was dry every night!}  I don’t mind taking chances at home, but sleeping at someone else’s house is a different story!  For Christmas, we traveled to my parents house in Pennsylvania.  While Ellie is completely okay to wear a Pull-Up around us, she is much more interested in wearing big girl panties around her older cousin.  There’s nothing she wants more than to be just as big as her seven-year-old cousin!

Luckily for us, we found new GoodNites Disposable Bed Mats at Walmart to take along to Nana & Papa’s house.  They’re affordable, discreet, and the perfect way for Ellie to feel just like her older cousin.  Also available on Walmart.com, their price allows you to order them in bulk so that you have enough for home & away.

And as for her older cousin… well, she didn’t have a clue that there was an absorbent bed mat on the mattress at Nana & Papa’s house!  The mats are thin and blend in nicely with bed sheets.  Small stickers on the back keep the bed mats in place, which is especially helpful for little children who seem to roll around all night long.

Now that we know about these new bed mats, we’ll be using them all the time.  It’s a mattress & sanity saver, and also gives Ellie an opportunity to wear panties again.

Want to know where to find these awesome bed mats in your local store?  Check out our photos from a recent shopping trip on Google+.

  1. I love these. I haven’t tried them but after reading a lot of blog posts I am going out and purchasing some for our little guy. He is also dry most every night and I would love to move him out of Pull Ups!
