A Carolina Snow Day
On Thursday, it was 60 degrees & on Friday…
it snowed 6 inches.
Growing up in the Northeast, snow was just part of winter. It snows, they plow, and life goes on. In the South, it snows and then every news channel gives you flake-by-flake action. Roads don’t get plowed, kids don’t own boots, & folks are chipping at ice with their garden shovels. Of course, nothing beats seeing a neighbor clear their windshield with a spatula. Yes, when it snows in the South, the world shuts down.

On Sunday morning, a bright & glorious sun illuminated our icy tundra and provided enough warmth to enjoy the snow. Babycakes got layered up for her first romp in the snow.

One step, two steps, plop!
“Col!”

“Sssssss-now!”

Happy Snow Day!
