The Pooch With a Death Wish…
His world has never been the same since the arrival of Babycakes. Two Springs ago, he sensed that something was different. He could no longer fit between his mommy’s belly and the steering wheel on car rides, and for some odd reason he was getting kicked during snuggle time. What could possibly be going on?
Up to that point, he had enjoyed a life of luxury — trips to wineries, hotels, & beach vacations. He was spoiled silly.
And then, his little world was shattered. Where had his mommy gone? And why, when she returned, had she brought home a “new-something-small.” It didn’t smell like dead worms (his favorite) or pepperoni flavored snausages (a close second). It smelled funny… like warm milk and honey.
People wanted to hold it and snuggle it and that made him feel… sad. Who would give him a belly rub now?
Eventually, he learned to tolerate the “new-something-small” and embraced his new lifestyle.
He would find a way to get their attention — good or bad. He played fetch with his toys, cuddled on the couch, and he even helped watch the baby.

So, how is it possible that someone so cute, fluffy, & responsible could get into so much trouble today?

The dog that plays chicken in the street with a garbage truck is a pooch with a death wish.

There’s just something about garbage trucks. And UPS trucks. My favorite is when the dog chases a truck down the road while I’m nursing. Now, really, what is a mom to do, then?!

I have a white indoor kitty who likes to escape during snow storms. Talk about a death wish! But she yells pretty loudly, so we usually can locate her…

Oh the expressions on that dog’s face are priceless! So do you think his little escapade was an attempt to end it all or a desperate bid for attention? ‘Cause you know a dog who can make faces like that is always gonna have a plan…
