Can’t you just hear my father’s voice asking that question?  I admit, I’ve been a little MIA this week.  I wish I could say that we had jetted off to some exotic destination before football season or that I had finally invented something that made me an instant millionaire… but alas, it’s just Babycakes teething again. 

I feel bad for my little critter — yes, she’s keeping me awake at night, but she’s the one with rupturing gums.  Thank goodness for ibuprofen, sweet sweet ibuprofen.  AND teething tablets.  When I offered her two tablets at 2:46 am., she giggled, removed her binky, placed them in her mouth, inserted her binky, and snuggled into my arms.  Does it get any better than that?  I love snugglefest.

Football Season begins in 11 days…

The bedroom redecorating project is ON!  Coach approved my budget, but now I’m rethinking the original bright & cheery color scheme.  It’s time to consult my decorating journal. 

What do you think about this one? 

I love this idea, but minus all the extra dust collectors.  While the shells and jars are beautiful, they’re not practical for a house with a ten-month-old and a football coach.  Babycakes would use the seashells to terrorize the dog and Coach would use the antique glass bottles to fill the iron.  So, really we’re just talking about the rectangular thing-a-ma-jig to add texture and the colors.

My weakness for pizza has prompted me to research a new & healthier way of eating.  Most days, I eat incredibly healthy, but having a baby has made me a carb-monster.  You know how Cookie Monster devours cookies?  Yes, well…  me love carbs!  Ahhhmmmm…  yum, yum, yum! 

Poor Coach… wait until he sees all the beans & lentils that I bought at the grocery store yesterday.  We are going to be the heart-healthiest family on the block.  I’ll be sure to share my favorite recipes with you all soon!
