Today we cancelled cable

Goodbye Bill O’Reilly, Au Revoir Glenn Beck

Today we cancelled cable to save ourselves a check

No more Desperate Housewives or Business News on FOX

Without that blasted satellite, we’re staring at a box

Bye-Bye Nancy Grace, GMA, & Dr. Phil

Oprah, Grey’s Anatomy, & Lauren from The Hills

I’m mourning Home & Garden — I’ll miss this one a bit

But the rest of what’s on television is positively shhhh…

We’re Reading!

  1. You are much braver than I will ever be!

  2. I recommend the Twilight series if you haven’t read it yet.
Also if you still have internet (which apparently you do) you can watch back almost any show online. Try hulu or even the network sites.
FWIW, I grew up without cable and I made it to adulthood, brain in tacked.

  3. We did this when my boys were little, too. It’s good to do it while Babycakes is young, so she won’t know anything else. Well, that is, until the “Why don’t we have Cartoon Network like everyone else?” chants start.
