I had the idea to start this blog and now it seems like I can always find ONE MORE THING that needs to be done around the house before I can sit down to write!  It’s been difficult to find time, especially with Babycakes attached to my hip.  She is not a fan of the computer — she is VERY aware that it takes my attention away from her.  To express her displeasure, there is much hair pulling.  I find it much easier to type with two hands & my hair intact. 

So finally, for one of the first times this week, Babycakes is taking a nap.  She’s of the philosophy that “naps are for babies” & being nearly 5 months old has adopted a more sophisticated afternoon activity schedule.  Instead of napping, she likes to spend some time in her office (exersaucer) multi-tasking (pressing pictures of animals AND spinning the jingly disks), all the while directing me about the house — fetch my binky, bring me my lamb, feed me. 

At this present moment, she is asleep (knock on wood) and I finally have some time to add content to the blog.  I’m going to begin by adding my FAVORITE RECIPES — I pinky promise to add pictures soon.  You can see my need for haste — without content, there will be no readers, and without readers… you get the point, right?
